The Toronto International Bicycle Show was this past weekend, and as always, it featured the Toronto BMX Jam, one of the most fun contest weekends on the BMX calendar!  Everybody at Ryder was stoked to send two of our team riders to the event.  Not only did returning champion Drew Bezanson throw himself into the mix, but Southern Ontario’s own John Heaton was riding as well, much to the delight of the crowd that packed into the Better Living Centre.

John managed to pull off a sixth place finish with a final score of 84, finishing just behind tech-shredder Steven Moxley.  In the end, it came down to returning champ, Drew Bezanson, and a new face at the Toronto BMX Jam, Pat Casey.  Both riders were firing on all cylinders, blasting huge airs, wild transfers, and throwing down tricks that shouldn’t be possible.  In the end, our boy Drew finished second with a final score of 94, just behind Casey’s first place score of 95.3.  With both riders absolutely killing it, Drew could hardly feel disappointed, choosing instead to be stoked for his second place finish, as well as for Pat Casey’s first place finish!

Another Toronto BMX Jam is in the books, and we want to send a special thanks to all the organizers, sponsors, and behind-the-scenes people who helped make this amazing contest happen yet again!  See you all next year!
